1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Halcyon Ledger website at https://halcyonl.live and your participation in any programme offered by Halcyon Ledger. By using this website or submitting an enquiry, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or submit an enquiry.

Halcyon Ledger is a financial literacy education provider registered and operating in George Town, Penang, Malaysia.

2. Nature of Our Services

Halcyon Ledger provides educational programmes for small business owners and operators. All content, sessions, worksheets, and materials are educational in nature. Nothing delivered through our programmes, website, or any communication from Halcyon Ledger constitutes:

• Professional financial advice
• Professional tax advice
• Professional legal advice
• Investment recommendations of any kind
• Accounting services

Participants are encouraged to consult appropriately qualified professionals for advice specific to their own business circumstances. Halcyon Ledger facilitators will not provide such advice during sessions and will redirect enquiries of that nature accordingly.

3. Programme Enrolment

Submission of an enquiry form does not constitute enrolment in a programme. Enrolment is confirmed only once Halcyon Ledger has issued written confirmation and payment has been received in full or as agreed.

Programme places are subject to availability. Halcyon Ledger reserves the right to decline an enrolment enquiry without obligation to provide reasons.

4. Fees and Payment

Programme fees are as published on our website at the time of enquiry. All fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Full payment is required prior to the commencement of any programme unless a written alternative arrangement has been agreed.

Halcyon Ledger reserves the right to update programme fees. Any fee change will not affect enrolments that have already been confirmed and paid.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation by a participant must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. The following terms apply:

• Cancellation 14 or more calendar days before programme commencement: full refund
• Cancellation 7 to 13 calendar days before commencement: 50% refund
• Cancellation fewer than 7 calendar days before commencement: no refund
• Non-attendance without prior cancellation: no refund

Where Halcyon Ledger cancels a programme, participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to an alternative cohort. Halcyon Ledger is not liable for any consequential costs arising from a programme cancellation.

6. Participant Conduct

Participants are expected to engage respectfully with facilitators and other participants throughout all sessions. Halcyon Ledger reserves the right to remove a participant from a programme without refund if their conduct is disruptive, offensive, or inconsistent with the learning environment.

Peer discussions during sessions involve anonymised business data. Participants must not pressure others to disclose specific or identifiable business information and must not share what other participants disclose outside of sessions.

7. Intellectual Property

All materials provided as part of Halcyon Ledger programmes — including printed worksheets, planners, session notes, and any digital resources — are the intellectual property of Halcyon Ledger. They are provided for the personal, non-commercial use of the enrolled participant only.

Materials may not be reproduced, shared, resold, or used in any commercial capacity without the prior written permission of Halcyon Ledger.

8. Website Use

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You must not use this site in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the site or its infrastructure, or that interferes with other users' access. Unauthorised attempts to access any restricted area of the website are prohibited.

Halcyon Ledger makes reasonable efforts to ensure website content is accurate and up to date but makes no warranty as to the completeness or fitness for any particular purpose of information published on the site.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Halcyon Ledger shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from participation in a programme or use of this website. Our total liability for any claim arising from a programme shall not exceed the programme fee paid by the relevant participant.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, as such exclusions are not permitted under Malaysian law.

This website may contain links to external websites. These are provided for convenience only. Halcyon Ledger does not endorse and is not responsible for the content of any linked external site.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.

Halcyon Ledger may update these terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of this website following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
